Decorative Katana Sword - “Soul of the Samurai” Limited Edition Wall Display
A beautifully crafted decorative reproduction of a traditional Japanese katana, titled “The Katana: Soul of the Samurai.” This stunning piece is mounted in a polished wooden display case and comes with an informative brass plaque highlighting the cultural and historical significance of the katana in samurai tradition.
Crafted with a highly polished steel blade featuring a simulated hamon (temper line), the sword is adorned with an intricately wrapped blue and gold cord handle (tsuka-ito), detailed fittings, and a lacquer effect scabbard (saya) with gold-painted dragon motifs and ornamental gold accents.
This limited edition collectible was produced by Mike Kinsley – Editions Limited (2002) and is one of only 100 units made, as stated on the included plaque. All metal fittings are gold-plated, and the designs on the scabbard are individually hand-painted, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship.
Excellent decorative condition. Minor cosmetic marks on the wooden frame; sword and fittings are intact and visually impressive. Not sharpened; intended for display only.
