Collection of Six Antique Servants’ / House Bell Springs with Bells
Comprising six wrought-iron spring mechanisms of varying circular and spiral forms, each retaining a cast bell and mounting fittings.
Originally used as part of a Victorian/Edwardian mechanical servant-call bell system, where wires running from bell pulls in individual rooms activated the corresponding bell in the servants’ quarters.
An interesting group of architectural and social-history fittings, retaining extensive aged surface, oxidation and patination.
