A very rare Walter Moorcroft Trial Vase. Decorated with three tall trees in a continuous landscape against a dark grey sky. 32cm trial piece designed for the Moorcroft 1997 Centenary. A larger 52cm limited edition run of 200 full size vases were subsequently made. Tube-lined and painted with a landscape design with approaching dark storm clouds in the background. 32cm high, signed and dated in blue 'W.Moorcroft 23.IVI.97' with factory marks.
